WELCOME to our website! Golden Acres is a homestead that sits out in the country and

is the home to our seven Golden Retrievers......and now our Irish Setter!

We think they are the most beautiful Goldens & Setter around, but then of course,

we are their owners.

We consider ourselves hobby breeders because we enjoy having litters of puppies so we

can play with them and spoil them before they find their "forever family". Our pups get

hands on attention from day one. We anxiously await the birth of a new litter as if we

are the new grandparents or something!

Let me introduce our family of Goldens to you.

Morgan -

She is the matriarch of our golden family. Her word is
final and the others had better fall into step. She is a

beautiful medium gold color with light fringe. She has

been the best mama dog ever. She has been with us

since 2003 and is now retired and enjoying the pups

that the other moms have.

Macey -

She is a daughter to Morgan. She has the most beautiful medium-dark

coat that has a bit of wave to it. She will definitely be the next in line as

matriarch. She is our protector and is always tring to please us. She

was part of our second litter and although we were not planning on

keeping any, she chose us. The rest is self-explanatory.

Madison -

This dainty dark golden is our little sweatheart.
Very laid back and quiet. She likes to sit beside
you and get some private time. Belly rubs and

ear rubs are what she likes best. You will always

find her ready to play ball.

This is Emma-

Emma is very light in color. Actually, she is almost white.

She has such a sweet disposition and is one of the first to

greet you at the gate. She loves to follow me around and

watch what I'm going. She makes sure she gets plenty of

ear rubs and talks us into some belly rubs also. Her favorite

playmates right now are Jed and Millie.

Millie is our newest addition to the family. She fits

right in and the others love and accept her. Of course,

the younger two, Jed and Emma, are her favorites

to play with since they like to wrestle and let her

chase them around. She will be a gorgeous light to

medium golden with lighter fringe as she develops

and grows to adulthood.

AND NOW FOR THE BOYS (OUR STUDS!)

Rex has been our stud for the last few years.

He is a fun loving dog who loves to play ball and

keep track of everyone. Rex is very light golden

with a smooth coat and block head. He has white

fringe and produces beautiful pups. Several

champions run in his family.

Jed is our upcoming stud. He is going to be

a stocky boy with a curly coat. His coat is a

light-medium color. He has a very sweet

personality and is very playful but also laid

back. We're looking forward to seeing his

litters in the future.

Haley is our lone Irish Setter. We rescued Haley at 6 months

of age. She was a wild child with no name:( She has turned

out to be a wonderful addition to our family. She prefers to

room by herself rather than run with the other dogs. She says

they are too big for her liking. Actually, she thinks that I am

her owner and I shouldn't be shared with any other dogs. She

is so loving towards me. In her free time she likes to chase

birds....you can tell that she is a bird dog!
